This Terminal Rental Policy outlines the terms and conditions for merchants renting point-of-sale (POS) equipment from Dime Omnipayment Engine Limited ("Dime"). By renting equipment from Dime, merchants agree to the following terms:

1. Scope of Policy

This policy applies to all merchants who rent POS equipment from Dime, including but not limited to:

  • A920 Max Handheld Terminal

  • SK700 Self-Order / Self-Pay Kiosk

  • A3700 Tablet

  • IM30 Unattended Payment Terminal

2. Equipment Ownership

All rented equipment remains the sole property of Dime. Merchants must return all devices in good working condition upon the termination of the rental agreement.

3. Merchant Responsibilities

Merchants are responsible for:

  • Proper care, handling, and secure storage of all rented equipment.

  • Adhering to the Device Usage Guidelines outlined in this policy.

  • Replenishing paper rolls and covering the associated costs, unless a separate written agreement has been made assigning this responsibility to Dime.

  • Not removing any Dime-applied stickers or attempting to remove the device’s battery.

  • Using only the charger provided (USB + Adapter) for charging the rented device, and not using it for any other equipment or device.

4. Replacement Costs for Lost, Stolen, or Damaged Devices

If a device is lost, stolen, or damaged due to negligence, misuse, or improper handling, the merchant will be required to pay the following replacement fees:

Note: Replacement fees do not apply to natural wear and tear.

5. Reporting & Replacement Process

  • Merchants must notify Dime immediately in the event of a lost, stolen, or damaged device.

  • The replacement fee must be paid, and the old device returned to Dime before a replacement unit will be issued.

6. Device Usage Guidelines

To ensure proper functionality and avoid unnecessary costs, merchants must follow these usage guidelines:

a. General Use

  • Only authorized personnel should operate the device.

  • Keep the device clean, dry, and free of food or liquids.

  • Avoid exposing the device to extreme heat, cold, or direct sunlight.

  • Do not install unauthorized apps or alter device configurations.

b. Charging

  • Use only the charger provided by Dime.

  • Do not use the charger to power or charge any device other than the rented terminal.

  • Avoid overcharging and keep the charger in a safe, dry location.

c. Paper Roll Management

  • Merchants are responsible for purchasing and replenishing printer paper rolls unless otherwise agreed.

  • Use only the recommended type and size of paper rolls to avoid device malfunctions.

d. Handling & Storage

  • Store devices in a secure, dry location when not in use.

  • Avoid dropping the device or placing heavy objects on it.

  • Do not leave devices unattended in public spaces or vehicles.

e. Tampering

  • Do not remove or tamper with stickers, labels, or seals affixed by Dime.

  • Do not attempt to remove or access the device battery.

f. Loss or Damage

  • Promptly report any loss, theft, or damage to Dime using the contact information provided above.

7. Policy Updates

Dime reserves the right to update this policy at any time. Merchants will be notified of any material changes.
